Solar for All.
Cut your energy bills and boost your businesses sustainability.
Rising energy bills are a concern for many businesses, as the cost of powering offices, equipment and machinery continues to increase. Finding ways to reduce these expenses without sacrificing quality is crucial for any business looking to maintain financial stability.
At Troo, we’ve partnered with HDM Energies to offer Solar for All , a solar power solution designed to reduce your energy costs with zero upfront investment.
We’ll handle the installation, and you’ll only pay for the energy you use – at a lower rate than what you’d pay your current electricity supplier.

How does it work?
We’ve made it simple for businesses to access solar energy, even if budgets are tight. Here’s how:
1. No upfront costs:
HDM Energies will install the solar panels at your business for free. There's nothing for you to pay upfront.
2. Energy savings:
Once the system is installed, you’ll start generating your own energy. Any electricity you use from the system is charged at a much lower rate, starting at just 16p per kWh, much cheaper than typical supplier rates.
3. Fixed energy prices:
Lock in your energy rate for the full contract term, so you’re protected from future price hikes.
4. Excess energy:
If your business produces more energy than it needs, we’ll sell the surplus to the national grid. This helps cover installation costs, keeping the scheme completely free for your business.
5. Full maintenance included:
We handle all system maintenance, ensuring everything runs smoothly without you needing to lift a finger.

Client testimonial:
""I'm very excited about the impact our new solar system will have on our sustainability goals.
It’s projected to cover around 19% of our top yard’s electricity needs, peaking at up to 36% in July, which translates to an annual savings of approximately £20,000 and a reduction of 19 tons of CO2 emissions.
By generating our own power, we’re decreasing our reliance on grid electricity, which includes carbon-emitting sources like gas and biomass, and moving closer to a sustainable future."

Straight forward, hassle free, and costs you nothing.

Frequently asked questions
You’ve got questions. Here are the answers to help you understand how Solar for All could work for your business.
Who owns the equipment?
HDM Energies owns the solar panels and equipment, but your business has the option to purchase the system during the contract.
What happens if we move to a new building?
The system can either be moved to the new building (at an agreed cost) or transferred to the new owners of your current building.
Can we buy the system outright?
Yes. Your business can choose to buy the solar system at any time, and from then on, all the energy generated is yours, with no further payments to HDM Energies.
Will we have backup power during a blackout?
Yes, we offer battery storage solutions that can act as a backup power source during a national grid outage. Ask us about adding this option to your solar system for complete peace of mind.
How long are the contracts?
You can choose a contract length that suits your business, from 5 to 25 years. The longer you commit, the lower the energy rate we can offer. Most businesses opt for a 10-15 year contract to strike the right balance between cost savings and flexibility.
What if we want to end the contract early?
If you wish to end the contract before the agreed term, you can do so by buying the system outright at a proportionate cost, depending on how long the system has been installed.
How will we be billed?
You’ll only pay for the energy your business uses, tracked via a meter installed with the system. This is separate from your usual energy supplier. There are no hidden fees or standing charges, just one low, fixed rate for the energy generated by the solar panels.
